Hanseatic Global Terminals has appointed two new executives for its European and Latin American operations. Mauricio Carrasco (photo) will serve as Regional CEO for Europe starting March 15, while Rodrigo Galleguillos will take on the role of Regional CEO for Latin America. These changes are part of the company’s growth strategy, which aims to expand its global network and strengthen operational capabilities in key markets by 2030.
Dheeraj Bhatia, CEO of Hanseatic Global Terminals, stated that the new structure aims to consolidate the presence in both regions and accelerate the implementation of the strategic plan. The company aims to operate a total of 30 terminals by 2030.
Mauricio Carrasco brings extensive experience from the global maritime port industry. He has previously served as Managing Director at SAAM Terminals and held senior positions at Hapag-Lloyd in Dubai and Shanghai. Carrasco holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Chile and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Rodrigo Galleguillos, who succeeds Carrasco, is a business administrator with a Master’s in Finance from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Chile and an MBA from Bond University in Australia. He has a solid career in the maritime, port, and logistics sector and has held various leadership positions in Latin America.
Hanseatic Global Terminals was founded in 2023 and is an independent subsidiary of the Hapag-Lloyd Group, focusing on terminals and infrastructure. The company plans to expand its operations to 30 terminals by 2030 and has a clear vision of becoming a global terminal operator.
