Mar 4, 2026 at 10:02 AMSTV has been commissioned by the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) to plan and implement a port expansion program. The goal of the project is to improve the connection of ships to rail at the Talleyrand Marine Terminal (TMT) and the Dames Point Marine Terminal (DPMT). This is intended to address the increasing demand for aggregate imports in Florida, as the company reports.
Optimization of logistics
Keith Jackson, Senior Vice President and District Manager Florida at STV, emphasizes the importance of the project for the port’s efficiency: “This project enables Jacksonville to handle bulk materials faster and more efficiently as demand continues to rise.” According to him, the planned rail infrastructure is expected to optimize the collaboration between ships, rail, and terminals, thereby supporting the national supply chain.
STV will lead the technical and design modernization measures at the two terminals. This includes coordination with environmental regulations as well as the creation of phased planning documents. Additionally, the company will assist with cost estimation and bid preparation.
