Feb 25, 2026 at 8:21 AMIAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), has been appointed as the ground handling agent for Qatar Airways Cargo at Dublin Airport (DUB). This partnership aims to strengthen collaboration between the two airlines and improve operational coordination at the location.
The agreement is part of the broader Global Cargo Joint Business announced in 2025 between IAG Cargo, MASKargo, and Qatar Airways. By consolidating ground handling under a unified operational platform in Dublin, the service quality, network connections, and consistency for customers are expected to be enhanced. This will be facilitated by closer cooperation between the partners.
The appointment of IAG Cargo for ground handling for Qatar Airways Cargo follows the recent expansion of IAG Cargo’s third-party handling capabilities, which includes the introduction of MASKargo operations at London Heathrow Airport. Qatar Airways Cargo, part of the Qatar Airways Group, operates 17 weekly flights with cargo in the belly hold between Dublin and Doha. All cargo services are managed through IAG Cargo’s facilities in Dublin.
David Shepherd, CEO of IAG Cargo, commented on the partnership: „We are excited to work with Qatar Airways Cargo in Dublin. This partnership reflects the trust that global airlines place in our operational expertise and demonstrates the strength of our third-party handling capabilities. Dublin holds a strategically important position in our network, and our facility provides strong operational support for Qatar Airways Cargo’s services.“
Mark Drusch, Chief Officer Cargo at Qatar Airways Cargo, added: „As a leading global air freight provider, we continuously seek strong, like-minded partners who share our commitment to operational excellence, reliability, and customer service. This partnership with IAG Cargo in Dublin, along with the establishment of the alliance with IAG Cargo and MASKargo, supports our growing network and ensures seamless, high-quality handling for our customers in Ireland and beyond. We look forward to expanding this collaboration as we continue to strengthen our global cargo offering.“
