Four representatives for HELIX alpha
Feb 23, 2026 at 8:33 AMAt the Edelstal location in Austria, Coca-Cola HBC Austria has optimized truck traffic operations through the implementation of the yard management software „SYNCROSUPPLY“ from INFORM, as the company recently announced. According to the manufacturer, this software manages nearly the entire truck traffic from check-in to exit in a fully automated manner. The company reports that the introduction of the software led to a 45 percent reduction in truck turnaround time, while on-time delivery increased to 85 percent. The project was awarded the Austrian Logistics Prize in 2021 and is now considered a best practice within Coca-Cola Hellenic Beverage Company (HBC). Several cross-border locations have since implemented the solution.
Filling and traffic frequency
Coca-Cola HBC Austria produces about 83 percent of the beverages intended for the Austrian market at the Edelstal location. The filling plant processes up to 90,000 cans per hour and prepares them for further transport. Given the high traffic volume, which averages around 140 trucks per day and can reach up to 200 trucks during seasonal peak times, a fundamental modernization of the operations was necessary, according to the company. The goal was to better plan arrival times and transparently represent all movements on the premises to utilize capacities more efficiently and minimize waiting times.
Thomas Franz Topf, Warehouse Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Austria, explains the challenges before the software implementation: “Previously, we only had basic information such as the arrival, loading, or departure of the truck. Tracking was only possible with significant manual effort.” With the introduction of SYNCROSUPPLY, this has fundamentally changed.
