The Rigterink Logistics Group, a provider in the field of food logistics based in Germany, has intensified its strategy for electrifying its fleet by implementing the planning and decision support tool „Pathfinder“ from the LOTS Group. With a fleet of over 400 tractors, the company aims to drive decarbonization in transportation, as stated by the company.
Data-Driven Planning
„Pathfinder,“ a tool developed by the Scania subsidiary LOTS Group, utilizes artificial intelligence to assist carriers and shippers in analyzing transport flows. The tool identifies suitable routes for electrification and enables the creation of transition plans based on real operational data.
Rigterink has already put electric vehicles into operation and is now focusing on maximizing their use. The company plans to expand electrification across its entire network and demonstrate to its customers the opportunities that arise from the use of electric vehicles.
