Modernization of the distribution center at Zeeman
Feb 20, 2026 at 10:28 AMBIFA has established a new working group that focuses on artificial intelligence (AI) and technology. This initiative was created in response to the growing interest among the members of the industry association regarding the opportunities and challenges associated with the implementation of AI, as stated by the organization.
According to BIFA, the significance of AI in business operations is steadily increasing. In this context, members have raised questions about the association’s position regarding AI and inquired how the organization can support the logistics community in navigating this dynamic environment. The establishment of the working group is intended to be a proactive measure by BIFA to address these concerns.
Focus on Efficiency and Risks
The newly formed group has already held its first meeting and, according to BIFA, will address the topic of AI from the perspective of freight forwarders. Key tasks of the working group include identifying potential efficiency gains, assessing operational impacts, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additionally, the group will also investigate new risks associated with the use of AI, including aspects such as cybersecurity, fraud, and data privacy governance.
