Feb 19, 2026 at 10:36 AMFedEx Express Corporation has integrated 14 Mercedes-Benz „eSprinter“ electric vehicles into its fleet in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the company, this initiative makes the UAE the first market for FedEx in the Middle East to utilize this van model.
The new electric vehicles are designed for daily use in the Emirates and offer a load capacity of up to three tons, according to the manufacturer. The estimated range is up to 380 kilometers on a full charge. FedEx expects that the introduction of these electric vehicles will save approximately 148 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
Progress Towards Emission-Free Logistics
FedEx aims to establish a fully electric global pickup and delivery fleet by 2040, the company reports. The introduction of electric vehicles in the UAE is a step towards emission-free operations on the last mile and demonstrates how the country can serve as a pioneer for future implementation across the region. „FedEx is committed to building a smarter and more efficient network for our customers,“ said Taarek Hinedi, Vice President Operations and Planning & Engineering at FedEx Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa.
