Feb 18, 2026 at 9:58 AMThe Dutch discount retailer Action has opened its first own distribution center in Novara, Italy. With an area of 57,000 square meters, this logistics center will supply the company’s over 200 stores in Italy. The operation of the center will be managed by the international logistics service provider Fiege, as the company reports.
Expansion of the Partnership
The opening of the distribution center in Novara represents an expansion of the long-standing partnership between Action and Fiege. According to a statement from Action, the new center is intended to help optimize the supply chain in Italy. The property is certified according to the sustainability standard BREEAM, which is meant to indicate environmentally friendly construction and operational practices. Fiege plans, according to its own statements, to create up to 300 jobs in the new center in the long term to meet the logistical requirements of approximately 270 Action stores in Italy.
Philippe Levisse, Managing Director of Action in Italy, commented on the opening: „We are very pleased to open our first own distribution center in Novara almost five years after the opening of our first store in Italy. Customers have welcomed us warmly, and we are glad that we can now bring the Action concept closer to them.“ Levisse emphasized that the company’s success is based on a strong business model and the commitment of the teams.
