Reforms for Indian Railways
Feb 16, 2026 at 11:28 AMFedEx has announced today that the company has joined the Hedera Council. This body consists of global organizations and aims to promote trust, security, and innovation within the Hedera network. With this step, FedEx intends to contribute to the development of a digital infrastructure that supports the lifecycle of global shipments and optimizes supply chains for all stakeholders, as recently communicated by the Council.
Strategic Focus on Digital Transformation
Joining the Hedera Council is intended to underscore FedEx’s goal of increasingly transitioning global trade to data-driven processes. The company aims to reduce paper-based operations and physical checkpoints. In this context, the digital integration of supply chains is gaining importance. The data infrastructure plays a central role, as it can promote automation, digital transparency, and continuous compliance according to the Council.
Hedera’s Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) provides a trust and notarization layer. This technology supports interoperable, cross-platform digital ecosystems and is designed to enable companies to maintain control over large volumes of data. FedEx brings its operational expertise and perspective to the Council to promote cooperative approaches for distributed infrastructures.
