EFW expands business in China
Feb 12, 2026 at 2:07 PMDelta Cargo has received approval for the use of the Envirotainer RelEye® RKN container on its aircraft. This development aims to support the company’s efforts to provide safe and reliable solutions for the transportation of pharmaceutical products worldwide.
Expansion of the Pharmaceutical Network
Delta Cargo operates over 50 pharmaceutical-approved stations in its global network. This ensures that temperature-sensitive health products are handled to the highest standards. The introduction of the RelEye® RKN container is expected to further enhance support for the pharmaceutical industry through advanced technology and operational efficiency.
The RelEye® RKN container offers several features that are significant for the transportation of pharmaceutical products. These include live monitoring capabilities that allow real-time tracking of temperature and location. The container has a pallet capacity of one Euro or one US pallet and an empty weight of 583 kg, maximizing payload efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions. Additionally, the container is approved for transport to and from Delta’s pharmaceutical-certified stations, ensuring compliance with strict standards for handling pharmaceutical products.
Delta Cargo is not only pursuing logistical goals but is also actively working on sustainable solutions. The company collaborates with partner airlines to expand global reach and ensure the integrity of vital shipments. Customers have the option to utilize these containers either through their own leasing agreement or through a leasing option from Delta.
The availability of the Envirotainer RelEye® RKN depends on the locations of the Envirotainer stations. Interested parties are advised to check the compatibility of the stations before booking.
