Feb 12, 2026 at 9:40 AMMercedes-Benz Trucks has delivered the first battery-electric long-haul trucks in Chile, as the company recently announced. The first Mercedes-Benz „eActros 600“ was handed over to the transport company Empresas Cavalieri. This truck will be used for transporting beverages along the route from Santiago to Viña del Mar in the Valparaíso region. In the coming weeks, six more „eActros 600“ trucks are set to be delivered to customers in Chile.
The transport company Cavalieri is closely collaborating with Compañía de Cervecerías Unidas (CCU), one of the largest beverage manufacturers in Chile and South America, according to Daimler Trucks. The „eActros 600“ trucks used by Cavalieri represent another step in the company’s sustainability strategy. With a range of up to 500 km per battery charge, the trucks allow for transportation without the need for charging stops outside the depot, according to the manufacturer. The battery-electric „eActros 600“ was introduced in Chile last year and is the first market for this model in South America.
