Feb 12, 2026 at 9:55 AMThe Valentine’s Day season of 2026 has once again highlighted the importance of precise operations and dedicated professionals in the air freight industry. Avianca Cargo, the cargo subsidiary of the Colombian airline, has achieved remarkable results this season and established itself as a leading provider in the transportation of flowers from Colombia.
Leading Role in Flower Export
Avianca Cargo has distinguished itself as the number one in the transportation of flowers from Colombia. According to company information, one in three flowers exported to the United States from Colombia was transported by Avianca Cargo. A total of 19,000 tons of flowers from Ecuador and Colombia were shipped to the USA this season, representing a growth of over 5% compared to the previous year. This increase is above the market average.
Notably, record growth rates were observed in key markets. Avianca Cargo recorded a growth of 10% in Ecuador and even 20% in Los Angeles compared to 2025. On peak days during the season, the airline operated up to one flight per hour to meet high demand.
Commitment to Quality and Trust
Avianca Cargo concludes the season with results that speak for themselves. The company emphasizes that success is based on a high level of quality and commitment. In a statement, Avianca Cargo thanks its customers, partners, flower growers, and its own team for the trust and support shown.
The season has once again demonstrated that behind every flower transport lie not only logistical challenges but also the commitment and expertise of the employees who ensure that the products arrive on time and in perfect condition.
