Feb 11, 2026 at 12:07 PMThe Logistikimmobilien Initiative (Logix) has made significant personnel changes at the beginning of 2026 to strengthen its strategic direction. The board has been expanded with two new members, while the advisory board has been newly appointed. These measures aim to further develop the initiative in the logistics and industrial real estate sector in Germany.
Expansion of the Board
Newly appointed to the board are Jan-Gerd Bach, Managing Director at GDD Development, and Dr. Sandra Strohbücker, Head of Real Estate Management at Duisburger Hafen AG (duisport). Both were previously members of the advisory board and bring extensive experience in the industry. The board is responsible for the operational activities of the initiative and works based on the strategy set by the advisory board.
New Appointment of the Advisory Board
In parallel with the expansion of the board, the advisory board has also been restructured. Farshad Arshadi, Head of Logistics Acquisition and Sales at Deka Immobilien, and Sarina Schekahn, who will serve as Managing Director and Head of Industrial & Logistics Leasing Germany at CBRE starting in April, have been appointed to the body. Fabio Kirchgeßner from Panattoni Deutschland replaces Fred-Markus Bohne, who is leaving the advisory board. The advisory board’s role is to advise the board on strategic issues and support the implementation of projects as well as budget planning.
Dr. Malte-Maria Münchow, spokesperson and board member of the Logistikimmobilien Initiative, emphasizes the importance of these personnel changes: “The further development of our bodies is an important step to bring new ideas, perspectives, and additional expertise into the work of Logix.” He highlights that it is crucial to position the board and advisory board in a way that they effectively represent and connect the industry.
Strategic Direction for 2026
For the year 2026, the Logix Initiative plans to position itself as the central platform for the logistics and industrial real estate sector in Germany. The goal is to actively contribute to providing the necessary spaces for the storage and processing of goods. Logix consolidates the interests of the industry, addresses relevant topics, and promotes dialogue among all market participants, including local representatives, economic developers, developers, and investors.
The initiative also advocates for the promotion of research and communication in the industry and develops recommendations as well as industry standards. The Logix Award honors outstanding projects and innovations, which are awarded every two years by an independent jury.
