Menzies Aviation has announced the appointment of John Frame (left) as Chief Legal & Sustainability Officer and Group Company Secretary. He will succeed John Geddes, who will retire in November 2026 after a career of over 30 years with the company.
John Frame will assume his new position on September 1, 2026. In this role, he will lead Menzies‘ global legal, governance, compliance, and sustainability-related responsibilities. Frame has been with Menzies as Group Legal Counsel since 2021 and took on the role of Group Head of Legal in 2023. During this time, he has led significant legal programs, strengthened governance frameworks, and supported key strategic transactions that drive the company’s global growth.
John Geddes, who has held various leadership positions within the company since 1997, most recently served as Chief Governance & Sustainability Officer and Company Secretary. During his tenure, he has significantly contributed to the transformation of the John Menzies Group and supported the growth of Menzies Aviation from a single cargo facility at London Heathrow Airport to a global company operating at 350 airports in 65 countries. Geddes will remain active until his retirement at the end of November and will continue to be associated with the company as a Non-executive Director from December.
New Leadership Team for Governance and Compliance
As part of the new leadership structure, Owen Harkins (right) has been promoted to Group Company Secretary, effective September 1. Harkins has been with Menzies since 2016 and has played a key role in developing the company’s governance and compliance frameworks. He has been significantly involved in major M&A activities and brings extensive technical expertise and deep knowledge of the company, making him well-qualified for the role of Group Company Secretary.
