Feb 9, 2026 at 10:23 AMECS Group has signed a multi-year General Sales Agent (GSA) agreement with Royal Jordanian Airlines, marking a significant step in the airline’s commercial presence in North America. Starting January 10, 2026, ECS Group, through its US subsidiary Globe Air Cargo (GAC), will take over the sales representation for cargo at Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Detroit (DTW) airports. This partnership positions ECS Group as a key commercial partner of Royal Jordanian at major US hubs.
Expansion of Cargo Capacities
Under the new mandate, GAC will market a significant cargo capacity per flight with the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. This enables US exporters to have quick and reliable access to Amman (AMM) as well as comprehensive connectivity to Royal Jordanian’s extensive network, which includes both passenger and cargo aircraft. The commercial focus will be on key markets, including Libya, Damascus (DAM), Jeddah (JED), Beirut (BEY), Cairo (CAI), Istanbul (IST), Dubai (DXB), and Bangkok (BKK). ECS Group is positioned to support growth in these prioritized target markets.
The contract includes comprehensive GSA services supported by ECS Group’s integrated technology ecosystem. This allows customers seamless digital booking, pricing intelligence, and real-time transparency.
Confidence in the Partnership
Jean Ceccaldi, CEO of ECS Group, commented on the partnership: “This collaboration reflects the trust that Royal Jordanian places in our ability to transform their cargo results in one of the most competitive markets in the world.” He emphasized that GAC’s local strengths and ECS Group’s digital capabilities through CargoAI will help accelerate Royal Jordanian’s growth and provide US customers with reach and performance they previously did not have.
Khaled Alkhawaldeh, Director Cargo Commercial at Royal Jordanian Airlines, added: “The partnership with ECS Group and Globe Air Cargo brings strong market expertise, proven commercial capabilities, and advanced digital tools that will support our growth objectives, enhance customer reach, and optimize the utilization of our cargo capacities at key US hubs and beyond.”
With strong capacity, top-tier network access, and the commercial strength of ECS Group behind it, Royal Jordanian is well-positioned to achieve sustainable cargo growth in the United States.
