Feb 6, 2026 at 9:47 AMThe shipping company MSC Spain has announced an expansion of its transatlantic route between Northern Europe and the markets in the Caribbean, Central America, and the West Coast of South America. This new connection via the port of Bilbao is intended to provide exporters in Spain with improved trade opportunities, according to the port.
During an event at the Bilbao Port Authority’s premises, MSC presented the innovations of its „NWC-USA-SAWC service.“ This service commenced operations in Bilbao on December 19 with the arrival of the vessel „MSC Carole.“ According to the port, the service reduces transit times, eliminates stopovers, and enhances connectivity for the Spanish import and export sector. The weekly direct service targets several industries, including raw materials, timber, as well as food and beverages. Additionally, MSC’s comprehensive logistics offering, which includes land transport and customs clearance, is expected to benefit customers.
