Feb 5, 2026 at 11:18 AMJean-François Pagnoux has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Staci in France, which will now operate under the brand paxon. This decision, effective February 2, 2026, is part of bnode’s strategy, a significant player in European logistics, to strengthen its market position in third-party logistics (3PL) in Europe and North America and to drive the growth of paxon, which consolidates the company’s 3PL activities.
Pagnoux succeeds Thomas Mortier, who has led the international transformation of Staci in recent years. Mortier was instrumental in the integration of the company into the bnode group. Pagnoux will report directly to Rainer Kiefer, who oversees 3PL in Europe and Staci Americas.
Experienced Executive for Strategic Development
Jean-François Pagnoux brings over 20 years of experience in leadership positions and is regarded as an expert in omnichannel transformation as well as in developing businesses in complex and international environments. He began his career by founding a web agency, which shaped his customer-oriented and performance-driven approach. He then worked at Accenture, where he supported large companies such as La Fnac and Leroy Merlin in strategic, digital, and operational transformation projects.
Additionally, Pagnoux was with Groupe Carrefour, initially serving as Director of Transformation and later for nearly six years as Managing Director of Carrefour Retail Services. In this role, he was responsible for modernizing and growing B2B and B2C activities. Most recently, he was Managing Director of Logista Retail France, where he drove digitalization and operational excellence in a network of 14,000 points of sale.
Rainer Kiefer commented on Pagnoux’s appointment, emphasizing the historical significance of France for Staci and its role as a key driver for 3PL activities in Europe. Kiefer sees Pagnoux as an experienced leader who can further develop the local business and strengthen execution on the ground.
Chris Peeters, CEO of bnode and bpost, highlighted that the transformation of bnode is already well underway. He described logistics as a crucial growth engine and emphasized the strategic importance of the French market for the company. Peeters is confident that Pagnoux has the necessary experience and leadership strength to advance activities in this area.
