The Port Authority of Melilla has once again received certification under the EcoPorts Environmental Management Standard (PERS). The port, which has been a member of EcoPorts since 2016, has now been awarded the PERS certificate for the fifth time.
Acknowledgment of Achievements
Isabelle Ryckbost, Secretary General of the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO), expressed her pleasure at the renewed certification: “I would like to congratulate the Port of Melilla on its recertification. This new PERS certificate once again demonstrates the interest and enthusiasm of Spanish ports within the EcoPorts network.” The PERS certification is an indicator of the Port of Melilla’s commitment to environmentally friendly practices and sustainable development.
