Heavy transport of railcars
Jan 29, 2026 at 11:13 AMIn cooperation with Schöni Transport AG, Rivella’s fleet is being expanded with four new electric trucks, which will be responsible for transporting beverages across Switzerland. A notable feature of these vehicles is the use of solar power generated on the roof of the Schöni Transport AG logistics center in Rothrist, as reported by the Rivella Group.
Expansion of the Electric Fleet
The new electric trucks, originating from the „Renault E-Tech“ brand and representing the „T BEV 6×2“ model, are part of a joint project between the two companies aimed at environmentally friendly logistics. The striking design of the vehicles in red and light blue clearly indicates that Rivella and Focuswater beverages are being transported. For four years, a hydrogen truck in Rivella design, known as „Hydrollino,“ has been operating on Swiss roads.
With the introduction of the four new electric trucks, Schöni Transport AG increases the number of its electric vehicles to a total of 15 in national operation. Daniel Schöni, owner of the company, emphasizes the significance of this development for the company’s sustainability goals: „Since 2025, we have been operating our national fleet with more than 90% fossil-free.“ Furthermore, Schöni Transport AG plans to reduce emissions in Scope 1 and 2 by 30% by 2030 compared to 2023.
