Demand for air freight in South Asia is rising
Jan 29, 2026 at 8:45 AMAir Charter Service has further expanded its presence in Australia by opening a new office in Brisbane. This office is more than four times the size of the team’s previous workplace. The expansion comes just six months after the opening of an office in Perth.
Melissa Rogers, Charter Sales Director of Air Charter Service in Brisbane, commented on the developments: „In the four years since Matthew Haigh and I opened our office here, we have experienced remarkable growth and now have a steadily growing team of nearly 20 people.“
The numbers reflect the company’s success: Last year, the number of charter flights more than doubled compared to the results from 2024. Additionally, Air Charter Service has secured several new FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) contracts with key clients, underscoring the company’s growing reputation in the region.
Strategic Location Choice and Future Prospects
The new office is located in the James Street precinct in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, and offers ample space to realize the company’s growth plans for the coming years. Rogers emphasizes: „This is an exciting time for Air Charter Service in Australia as we look to further build on our success and expand our teams here in Brisbane as well as the existing operations in Sydney and Perth.“
Air Charter Service is a global aircraft charter broker with 40 offices across six continents. The company organizes over 35,000 flights annually and has generated more than $1 billion in revenue for the past five years. It was founded in 1990 by Chris and Tina Leach.
