Jan 26, 2026 at 3:51 PMAerios has introduced a new module for automating air freight charter quotes, based on artificial intelligence. This module aims to optimize the quote generation process by reducing manual input errors, saving time and costs, and creating more consistent quotes.
The company, which develops software solutions for the air freight charter industry and is a member of CargoTech, has announced the launch of its new module. This module will be integrated directly into the sales workflow of air freight charters, enabling charter providers to respond more quickly to time-sensitive and information-intensive requests.
Optimization of the Quoting Process
According to Aerios, providers receive more than 90% of their market inquiries via email, with details often included in attachments. Processing these requests requires manual data entry, pricing for various routing options, and the creation of multiple quotes per request. This leads to delays and increases the risk of errors.
Aerios‘ new module extracts key operational data from unstructured charter requests in various formats and converts it into structured data to enable repeatable workflows. The system can automatically generate routing options based on the provider’s network, taking into account requirements for positioning and technical stopovers. It is capable of handling requests with multiple airports and can create each quote within seconds. Additionally, freight information is captured through the digitization of packing lists, which can then be used for pricing, assessing loadability, and downstream operations.
By integrating AI into the existing workflow of charter teams, the system reduces input errors and accelerates response times. The time required for quote generation can be reduced by up to 80%, representing an improvement over the already achieved 66% with existing providers.
Market Demand and Utilization
The demand for this solution is already evident in practice, as customers utilize the automation module for real inquiries. Last year, Aerios customers managed over $1.5 billion in quotes for charter flights, underscoring the reliability and commercial value of the platform.
The module also leverages historical quote data and machine learning to suggest routing options based on similar past inquiries. This enables new or less experienced team members to create quotes more quickly and ensures greater consistency in quote generation within larger, decentralized teams.
Simon Watson, founder and CEO of Aerios, commented on the launch of the module: “The introduction of the automation and AI module for providers addresses an obvious problem that the market faces daily. It digitizes the inquiry data within the Aerios environment, which will be utilized in our upcoming modules.”
With the provision of a unified, end-to-end system, Aerios aims to transform the management and execution of air freight charters. Interested providers, brokers, or professionals from the charter sector can register for a demonstration on the Aerios website.
