Jan 19, 2026 at 8:36 AMThe European Regions Airline Association (ERA) has announced that Maersk Air Cargo has been accepted as a new member of the association. This membership aims to strengthen the representation of the diverse and evolving aviation landscape in Europe.
Maersk Air Cargo plays a central role in Maersk’s integrated logistics strategy and brings decades of experience in the air freight sector. The airline operates hubs in Denmark, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and China, connecting over 30 airports worldwide through scheduled flights. Additionally, extra airports are served through charter flights. The fleet consists of 19 aircraft, including Boeing 777 and 767, conducting over 400 flight movements weekly in a growing global network.
Expansion of Air Freight Expertise
Lars Jordahn, CEO of Maersk Air Cargo, expressed his pleasure about the membership: “Maersk Air Cargo is excited to join the ERA to strengthen our regional and European voice as we expand our presence and contribution to shaping the future of air freight.”

The membership of Maersk Air Cargo underscores the role of the ERA as the voice for passenger and cargo airlines operating in Europe and beyond.
