Jan 14, 2026 at 10:21 AMThe European Loc Pool AG (ELP) has launched a new award in Frauenfeld to support youth development in sports clubs. In collaboration with the Sportnetz Frauenfeld association, the „Next Generation Award“ will be endowed with an amount of CHF 10,000 annually starting in 2026. The aim is to recognize and specifically promote the commitment of sports clubs in the region, as the company reports.
ELP emphasizes that the promotion of young talents is a central part of its corporate responsibility. “Next Generation means for us taking responsibility for the future, both on the tracks and in society,” explains Willem Goosen, CEO of ELP. This philosophy is reflected not only in the development of the „Euro9000“ locomotive generation but also in ELP’s local engagement, as the company reports.
The „Next Generation Award“ is aimed at clubs that train young people aged 14 to 18 in the training program “1418coach.” This program aims to give young people early responsibility, strengthen their social skills, and promote their long-term commitment to club life.
