The Rhenus Group has received the Platinum Medal from EcoVadis, an award that ranks the company among the top 1% of companies evaluated worldwide. EcoVadis is a provider of sustainability ratings that assesses companies based on their performance in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The Platinum Medal reflects the Rhenus Group’s progress in these areas and reaffirms its commitment to responsible logistics, as the company states.
Progress in Sustainability Assessment
The improvement to Platinum was achieved through advancements in all four thematic areas. Rhenus scored 100 points in the area of environment, 95 points for labor and human rights, 68 points for ethics, and 86 points for sustainable procurement. These successes were made possible, among other things, by the creation of the first sustainability report of the Rhenus Group. This report summarizes group-wide policies, evidence, and performance indicators. „Platinum is a signal to our customers and partners that we are going one step further,“ said Joana Baetz, board member responsible for HR, sustainability & compliance.
