Growth in the Parcel Business
According to Peter Umundum, Deputy General Director and Board Member for Parcel & Logistics of Österreichische Post AG, daily peak values of up to 1.65 million packages were even reached in December 2025. Umundum emphasizes that the figures represent a strong signal for the performance capability of Österreichische Post. The corporate group has positioned itself as an integrated logistics group and is active in Austria as well as in Southeast and Eastern Europe, Turkey, and beyond.
The Post plans to further expand its capacities and set new impulses in cross-border e-commerce. This is intended to help strengthen its market position and meet the demands of the growing online trade. The developments in the parcel business reflect the increasing importance of e-commerce, which is expected to continue growing in the coming years.
