New Container Cranes at JAXPORT start Operations
Jan 9, 2026 at 11:26 AMThe Frankfurt-based IT company allivate, which specializes in solutions for air freight, has a new management team as of the beginning of 2026. Since January 1, Matthias Hupka (left) and Niklas Petri have been managing directors of the company. Both previously worked as senior consultants at allivate.
New Management Structure and Responsibilities
Matthias Hupka will focus on IT, project management, and product management within the company structure. His responsibilities include the technical and strategic further development of the FAIR@Link platform as well as the integration of new modules and services. Hupka, who is a computer scientist, began his career at Fraport and subsequently worked at cimt and the consulting firm WSP, where he held various IT consulting roles. He brings extensive experience in air freight, consulting, and IT development.
Niklas Petri is responsible for sales and the operational design of digitized and automated air freight processes at allivate. He will lead market expansion, strategic development, and the creation of new services and business models. Petri, an economist with a focus on logistics and a trained freight forwarding agent, has the ability to understand processes from different perspectives. At DB Schenker, his focus was on air freight, while at DB Cargo he took on project management and strategic development roles.
Shared Priorities and Strategic Direction
In their new roles, Hupka and Petri have identified process consulting and strategic expansion as shared priorities. The two new managing directors emphasize: “Our unique selling point is the close collaboration with the community in digital transformation to achieve the best possible outcome for the air freight industry. We want to apply the successful concept of an established and shared Cargo Community System developed at Frankfurt Airport to other airports.”
The management team will work closely with its joint venture partners DAKOSY and Fraport, who will serve as a stable foundation in the background. Hupka will collaborate closely with DAKOSY, which is responsible for the development and operation of the FAIR@Link platform. Petri acts as a liaison to Fraport, which brings its air freight network as well as its unique community and process strengths into the joint venture – an ideal foundation for growth beyond Frankfurt.
In January 2024, allivate began operations with Martina Schikorr and Dirk Gladiator as joint managing directors, successfully positioning the company in the market. In June 2025, Denis de Farias Duarte temporarily took over the role of Ms. Schikorr. Starting in January 2026, Hupka and Petri will jointly lead the new management team. Gladiator will remain in an advisory role at allivate until March 31, 2026.
