AD Ports Group strengthens logistics leadership
Jan 8, 2026 at 9:10 AMThe Vega shipping company has achieved a significant reduction in the time spent on reporting and administrative tasks through the implementation of the digital platform Kaiko Systems, it reports. According to the company’s information, the effort has been reduced by up to 80 percent. This measure follows the sale of the previous container feeder and bulk carrier fleet and marks the beginning of a realignment, during which diesel-electric coastal vessels are being developed and ordered.
Digitalization of Safety Management
As part of the realignment, the Vega shipping company has decided to modernize its Safety Management System (SMS). Instead of manual, table-based processes, a fully digital workflow is now being utilized. Henrik König (pictured) from Vega shipping commented on the advantages of the new platform: “With this new fleet, we decided from the very beginning to use Kaiko Systems as our main platform for digital checklists and to work fully digitally with the ISM.”
By using Kaiko Systems, Vega shipping has consolidated inspections, audits, and daily safety routines onto one platform. Crews conduct safety rounds, operational checklists, and condition monitoring using tablets or smartphones, with additional photo and video evidence for each task. The data collected is automatically synchronized, allowing for real-time insights.
