SWAN Consistently Focuses on Operational SAP Digital Supply Chain
Nov 25, 2025 at 7:40 PMIndustrial Real Estate Sector: From November 18 to 20, 2025, BUILDINX – INNOVATIONS FOR LOGISTICS PROPERTIES – brought together solution providers and key stakeholders from industry, trade, logistics, and investment at the Messe Dortmund. Following a successful premiere in 2024, the format has clearly established itself in the trade fair calendar with its second edition and has met the expectations set in advance.
With a wide range of exhibitors and a highly knowledgeable audience, BUILDINX confirmed its role as a business platform along the entire value chain of innovative logistics and industrial real estate. “With the second BUILDINX, we have taken the next strategic step. The combination of a highly specialized conference program, strong market leaders, innovative newcomers, and a very qualified professional audience shows that we are hitting the pulse of the industry with this format. Thus, BUILDINX seamlessly integrates into the proprietary format strategy of Messe Dortmund and makes the location a central hub for the dynamic world of logistics and industrial real estate,” summarizes Sabine Loos, CEO of the Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe.
Relevant Topics, Strong Partners, Intensive Professional Discussions
In 2025, BUILDINX was again focused on current key topics in the industrial and logistics real estate world. The conference program, designed by the BUILDINX focus group within the logistics real estate theme circle of the Federal Logistics Association (BVL), examined how geopolitical developments, changing supply chains, and increasing demands for resilience, sustainability, and energy efficiency are restructuring space demand. “We have succeeded in reflecting the central themes of the industry in the program. This year, networking and discussions at a high qualitative level continue to characterize BUILDINX,” says Kuno Neumeier, spokesperson for the BVL logistics real estate theme circle and CEO of the Logivest Group.
Key topics included the growing demand in the defense sector, strategies for resilient and economically viable logistics locations, the use of data intelligence and artificial intelligence throughout the lifecycle of real estate, the opportunities of photovoltaics and decentralized energy storage, as well as the potential for revitalizing brownfields and flexible land use.
New Products, Premieres, and Trends in the Spotlight for Three Days
On the second evening of the fair, the Founders Fight Night provided a special highlight: Start-ups presented their business models in a pitch fight before a jury and audience, delivering fresh impulses. In an exciting finale, the start-up for urban logistics infrastructure bace won this year’s Founders Fight with its open platform for the last mile.
The mix of in-depth professional content during the day and lively networking formats – including the “Get-together: Xelebrate together enlightened by EAE” – as well as innovative evening events was another example of how strongly innovation and logistics expertise come together at BUILDINX.
Satisfied Exhibitors, Increased Visitor Interest
Exhibitors expressed high satisfaction with the course of BUILDINX 2025. In the exhibitor survey, around 94 percent stated that their expectations for the fair were met; more than 85 percent confirmed on-site that they wanted to exhibit again next year. The high decision-making competence of the professional visitors and the quality of discussions were particularly highlighted: Alongside project developers and logistics service providers, numerous representatives from industry and trade, investors, research, and politics were also present at the fair.
Compared to the premiere, BUILDINX was able to increase its visitor numbers. The results of the visitor survey also show a positive trend: The proportion of professional visitors who are already considering a return visit next year during the event has further increased compared to 2024. “The industry’s interest, the increase in visitors, and the further increased satisfaction are a clear signal,” says trade fair director Sabine Loos: “Many companies have reflected to us that they meet exactly the right contacts at BUILDINX in a short time. This density of relevant contacts is a real added value in a demanding market environment and strengthens our resolve to consistently advance the development of the format.”
Preparation for the 2026 Edition Already Underway
After a successful second year, the focus of Messe Dortmund and its partners is already looking ahead: The next BUILDINX from November 17 to 19, 2026, is in preparation, and exhibitors can already register for 2026. The fair thus remains an integral part of the portfolio at the Dortmund location and is gradually developing into a central hub for logistical and industrial real estate solutions in the European context.
