(Dortmund) The business platform surrounding the entire value chain of innovative logistics and industrial real estate, BUILDINX, offers a unique space for the exchange of expertise, innovative solutions, and forward-looking developments related to the construction, maintenance, and upkeep of suitable properties. The high-quality congress program, which has been compiled in collaboration with high-ranking industry representatives, is now finalized.
Revitalization, Smart Building Equipment, and Data Intelligence
The first day of BUILDINX starts with energy: After a welcome by Kuno Neumeier, CEO of the Logivest Group and spokesperson for the BVL working group on logistics real estate, Michael Dufhues, board member of Bremer AG, prepares the attending professionals for the trade fair days. The first conference day focuses on energy: Ricardo Melón Martínez, account manager at Greenflash, reports on how industrial properties can function as power plants and thus become an active part of the energy transition. Frank Bernlochner, managing director of Greenopeak, and Sebastian Durst, head of project engineering, demonstrate how companies from logistics, industry, and commerce can transform their spaces into sustainable value creation with smart photovoltaic rooftop solutions.
Not only energy generation but also the storage of energy carriers plays an important role on the first day of the fair: The automotive focus group of the BVL working group on logistics real estate is developing a set of recommendations that considers all aspects of safe storage. Volker Rügheimer, head of the logistics division at Volkswagen Group OTLG and spokesperson for the automotive focus group of the BVL working group on logistics real estate, Nico Anderten, head of environmental consulting & approvals at Rhenus Logistics, Markus Boberg, business development manager at Denios SE and co-chair of VDI, and Christian Kürpick, project manager at RETRON, REMONDIS Industry Service, will speak on this topic.
Rethinking Brownfields – Efficient, Economic, Future-Proof Inventory
On the second day of the fair, everything revolves around brownfields and technical building equipment. Mario Kling, managing director of GOLDBECK Nord GmbH, kicks off the day. In his presentation, he discusses how defined processes and intelligent system solutions enable existing properties to be adapted efficiently, economically, and future-proof to meet future requirements. Raphael Thießen, managing director of the German Brownfield Association e.V., Tobias Kassner, head of research & ESG at GARBE Industrial, and Rick Mädel, managing director of GARBE Regeneration, will also discuss rethinking brownfields in a panel talk. Alexej Schulz, sales manager at SchahlLED Lighting GmbH, explains how demand-oriented lighting helps to fully exploit potential for maximum energy and CO2 savings in his presentation.
Data as a Driver of Performance
The third day will be data-driven: Frank Weber, senior director of client solutions Germany at JLL Industrial & Logistics Agency, will discuss the topic of data centers with other experts, followed by a panel discussion on Big Box 360 and data intelligence. Frank Drexhage, managing director of BREMER Immobilien Service GmbH, and Sebastian Stirnberg, head of acquisition/calculation, will explain how lifecycle-oriented planning with FM expertise, low-maintenance and durable systems, and a digital handover (BIM2FM) lay the foundation for low operating costs and long-term value retention.
