Aconlog develops modern logistics spaces in Viersen
Oct 25, 2025 at 3:45 PMA new large-scale logistics property is being developed in the Taubengrund industrial area, in direct proximity to Frankfurt Airport. The project is being developed in a joint venture between Fraport Immobilienservice und -entwicklungs GmbH & Co. KG and MB Park Deutschland GmbH. The new building, named “LogiSpace,” is already fully leased before construction begins. Both companies are successfully building on their previous collaboration in the Rhine-Main area.
(Kelsterbach) The project will be constructed on a plot of approximately 48,200 m² by the first quarter of 2027. The flexibly usable logistics property features about 25,230 m² of hall and technical space on the ground floor. Additionally, there will be 3,360 m² of gallery space on the first upper floor, as well as approximately 3,300 m² of office and social areas on the first and second floors. Access is planned via 27 loading docks and 14 ground-level doors. Furthermore, 147 car and 15 truck parking spaces will be created.
The building is designed for very high energy efficiency. Resource-oriented heat pumps will control the heating and cooling. A large photovoltaic system will also be used for the building’s self-supply. Certification according to DGNB Gold is being pursued.
Development Plan is Available
The building permit has been requested, and earthworks are scheduled to begin in early 2026. The joint venture has already tendered the construction execution to general contractors. The plot is directly adjacent to Frankfurt Airport, close to CargoCity South and CargoCity North, and benefits from the potential of one of the most productive and successful economic regions in Europe. Numerous well-known companies, logistics firms, and KEP service providers are located at and around Frankfurt Airport, one of the largest cargo air traffic hubs in Europe.
