Logivest brokers logistics property to Grieshaber in Rothenburg
Sep 30, 2025 at 10:51 AMSince the beginning of autumn, the digital freight forwarder Cargoboard has recorded a six-figure customer count. Founded six years ago, the company acts as a primary forwarder for clients of various sizes, handling transport in road freight. The user-friendly digital booking process via the Cargoboard platform lowers barriers and significantly contributes to strong user growth – just like the recently accelerated internationalization.
(Paderborn) Of the more than 100,000 customers who have used Cargoboard at least once, nearly one-fifth, specifically 18,000 first-time clients, have joined in the first three quarters of 2025. This is also attributed to the expansion of business activities in Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Poland.
“When our very first transport booking came in 2019, we had no idea how large and, above all, established Cargoboard would eventually become. A high level of accessibility – resulting from modern IT systems and dedicated customer support – enabled us to achieve this rapid growth in customer numbers,” explains Lukas Petrasch, CEO of Cargoboard, reflecting on his company’s success story. “The combination of high-quality services, entry into new markets, a broad customer base, and close collaboration with our transport partners has created a strong and flexible offering that stands out in the competition.”
Digital Platform Model as the Key to Growth
From the outset, Cargoboard aimed to digitally consolidate the transport capacities of CargoLine partners and make them accessible to shippers of all sizes through close cooperation. This approach explains why the company today serves such a large number of customers despite its lean structure. As a primary forwarder, Cargoboard takes over transport management and customer support, while the transports are handled in collaboration with transport companies from the CargoLine network and now also with other selected forwarding partners. This allows even smaller shipment quantities to be organized efficiently without compromising quality or speed.
Over 18,000 positive reviews on Google and Trustpilot document the high satisfaction of users of the Cargoboard platform, resulting in very stable customer relationships. The publicly visible feedback provides potential new customers with guidance – and simultaneously leads to many recommendations.
100,000 Customer Milestone “Only” an Interim Goal
“Since 2019, we have built a strong market position, primarily based on a very diverse customer base. Many of our clients are smaller, rapidly growing companies, often in future markets such as renewable energies. Additionally, new shippers are emerging in the European transport market, such as suppliers from Asia. This mix makes us particularly resilient and ensures steady growth even in volatile times,” emphasizes Lukas Petrasch. “What all these customers have in common is that they seek the simplest and most straightforward access to transport. That’s exactly what we offer with our platform. With this momentum, we at Cargoboard are motivated to look forward to the next steps of our expansion.”
