Sep 18, 2025 at 6:21 PMHellmann Worldwide Logistics and Siemens Smart Infrastructure continue their long-standing and trustworthy collaboration: As of June 1, 2025, Hellmann has taken over the operational management of the global central warehouse for Siemens Smart Infrastructure in Nuremberg from the previous service provider.
(Osnabrück/Nuremberg) The globally active logistics provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics prevailed in a comprehensive tender process against various competitors at Siemens. The takeover marks another milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two companies.
The Nuremberg location serves as a global logistics hub for Siemens Smart Infrastructure. From here, production and trade goods are stored and shipped worldwide. The proximity to existing Hellmann locations creates operational synergies, enables flexible personnel deployment, and increases responsiveness in the supply chain. Additionally, the site meets all requirements for secure air freight handling and has an acknowledged air security status.
The takeover of the Nuremberg site is the next logical step in a long-grown partnership. Hellmann has been active for Siemens Smart Infrastructure at the Bor (Czech Republic) location for over ten years, managing warehouse logistics there. Due to the successful collaboration, this contract was recently extended for another five years.
Siemens also welcomes the expansion of the partnership: “The takeover of the central logistics site in Nuremberg is a consistent step to further enhance our logistical capabilities together,” says Sven Markert, Head of Supply Chain Logistics, Siemens Smart Infrastructure. “Hellmann is a strong partner that consistently meets our high standards in terms of quality, flexibility, and delivery reliability.”
Quality-Oriented Logistics Services in the Technology Sector
“We are very much looking forward to further expanding the successful partnership with Siemens and jointly developing powerful, future-oriented solutions,” adds Volker Sauerborn, Global COO Contract Logistics, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. “With the location in Nuremberg, we not only expand our warehouse footprint but also emphasize our commitment to reliable, quality-oriented logistics services in the technology sector.”
