Atrikom Fulfillment will occupy a total area of around 5,500 square meters in Garbe’s multi-user logistics center in Mettmann (North Rhine-Westphalia). The company specializes in goods and promotional logistics as well as dialog marketing and will provide warehousing logistics services for its clients in the property.
(Hamburg/Mettmann) “We are pleased to have won Atrikom Fulfillment and its subsidiary ‘Wir Packen’s’ as a new anchor tenant for our logistics property in Mettmann,” says Thorsten Wagner, Asset Manager at Garbe Industrial. The long-term lease agreement between the two parties provides for the use of approximately 4,600 square meters of hall space, 650 square meters of storage mezzanine, and around 200 square meters of office and social space. The rental was facilitated by the brokerage company Realogis Immobilien Düsseldorf. Legal advice was provided by Taylor Wessing.
With its subsidiary ‘Wir packen’s’ and the warehouse in Mettmann, Atrikom Fulfillment is expanding its location network. The medium-sized service provider, whose clients include companies from the automotive industry, retail, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods sectors, as well as many start-ups, is headquartered in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg in southern Hesse and currently operates branches in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. “We want to expand our logistics capacities and are therefore opening a location in Mettmann for the first time outside the Rhine-Main area,” emphasizes Daniel Deckers, Managing Director of Atrikom Fulfillment. The company is already a tenant of Garbe Industrial in Bodenheim in Rheinhessen, where Atrikom Fulfillment operates an e-commerce warehouse on a total area of 14,500 square meters.
Garbe Industrial realized the multi-user logistics center in Mettmann on a 26,000 square meter site in a joint venture with the E-Group and completed it at the end of 2023. The new building has a total area of around 10,300 square meters. Approximately 1,500 square meters of the property are used by a grocery retailer. About 3,000 square meters of hall space, as well as 220 square meters of storage mezzanine and 170 square meters for offices and social rooms are still available. “They are ideally suited for e-commerce companies due to the central location in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and the good transport connections,” explains Thorsten Wagner.
Good Location in the Rhine-Ruhr Area
The property is located in an industrial area in the northeast of Mettmann, a few kilometers away from the A3 motorway. It connects the location northwards with Duisburg and the German-Dutch border at Emmerich and southwards with Cologne, and further on with Frankfurt am Main, Würzburg, and Nuremberg. The center of Düsseldorf and Düsseldorf Airport are about 18 kilometers away.
