thirteen seven Sets the Standard for Logistics Properties in Krefeld
Aug 28, 2025 at 3:25 PMSustainable legislation is increasingly becoming the standard worldwide, particularly in the UK and the EU. Logistics service providers (LSPs) are therefore increasingly required to actively monitor their emissions and ensure compliance with current and future regulations and metrics. To achieve their environmental goals and meet the growing sustainability awareness of their customers, Europa Worldwide Group, a global logistics provider, relies on the Logistics Emissions Calculator from Blue Yonder, a component of the Sustainable Supply Chain Manager solution.
Europa Worldwide, known for its modern logistics solutions, has implemented the advanced CO₂ management features of Blue Yonder – recently enhanced by the acquisition of Pledge – within its ‘Road Freight’ division in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. With this strategic introduction, the company underscores its commitment to providing sustainable logistics services.
Europa Worldwide chose the Blue Yonder solution because it can generate precise and detailed CO₂ emissions reports, based on millions of data points and advanced emissions modeling. Blue Yonder’s Logistics Emissions Calculator offers GLEC-accredited and ISO 14083-compliant calculations with industry-recognized accuracy and reliability. The seamless API integration of Blue Yonder with Europa Worldwide’s transport management system enables efficient CO₂ reporting, enhancing transparency and building customer trust.
Emissions Reporting Has Been Insufficient
Before Europa Worldwide transitioned to Blue Yonder, the company’s internal emissions reporting lacked the necessary depth and accreditation to implement effective sustainability measures. To meet customer demands for more precise data, a more powerful solution was sought that could support the global Net-Zero initiative.

The new reporting system was initially implemented in Europa Worldwide’s ‘Road Freight’ division and has been intensively used by customers – with up to four new customers per week. Europa Worldwide aims to utilize Blue Yonder’s Logistics Emissions Calculator for its air and sea freight customers by the end of 2025 and to further integrate emissions reporting into the self-service portal for customers to simplify accessibility and user-friendliness.
“Europa Worldwide is actively and purposefully advancing its sustainability goals,” says Tom Jenkins, Central Services Director at Europa Worldwide Group. “Since the implementation of Blue Yonder’s Logistics Emissions Calculator, we have seen a significant increase in our customers’ interest in emissions reporting – a clear indication of the value of the solution for us. The integration of Blue Yonder’s emissions reporting features underscores our commitment to consistently expanding strategic sustainability measures in the logistics sector.”
Embedding Sustainability into Operations
“In light of the global initiative for greater sustainability, Europa Worldwide has seized the opportunity and taken a leadership role in combating CO₂ emissions in logistics,” said Saskia Van Gendt, Chief Sustainability Officer at Blue Yonder. “By strategically embedding sustainability into their operations, they not only improve the transparency of their CO₂ emissions but also safeguard their business and that of their customers against regulatory changes. We are proud to support them on their journey to decarbonizing transportation.”
