Aug 28, 2025 at 2:34 PMThe container hinterland logistics network Contargo is further expanding its offerings in the combined transport sector. On September 1, 2025, the DDS – Duisburg Dourges Shuttle will launch for the first time from Duisburg to Dourges in Northern France. On September 26, the PFS – Poland France Shuttle will begin its first journey from Krzewie to Dourges. With these two connections alone, Contargo will avoid up to 1500 truck trips on these routes each month.
(Mannheim) “Combined transport is ideal for regular freight flows over long distances,” says Andreas Mager, Managing Director of Contargo Intermodal Solutions. “With the new corridor solutions, we aim to increase the share of environmentally friendly transport between Central and Eastern Europe as well.”
The DDS will connect the Duisburg Intermodal Terminal (DIT) and the Lille Dourges Container Terminal (LDCT) in Dourges (France) with a fixed schedule and three round trips per week starting September 1. The new service offers connections via Dourges to/from: Fos-sur-Mer, Lyon, Marseille, Miramas, Mouguerre, Paris, Perpignan, and Rennes. Additionally, a connection to London is planned for January. At the DIT, rail connections to Poland, the Czech Republic, and China are possible.
For the DDS, the cut-off time at the DIT in Duisburg is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 4:00 PM. Containers will be available at the LDCT in Dourges on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays starting at 9:00 AM.
At the LDCT, the cut-off time on Tuesday and Thursday is at 3:00 PM and on Saturday at 12:00 PM. The availability at the DIT is on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting at 7:30 AM.
Poland France Shuttle
The Poland France Shuttle (PFS) includes two different routes between Poland and France: Dourges – Krzewie and Dourges – Kutno, both near Łódź in Central Poland. In Dourges, there are rail connections to Fos-sur-Mer, Lyon, Marseille, Miramas, Mouguerre, Paris, Perpignan, and Rennes.
Route 1: Dourges – Krzewie
This direct connection with one round trip per week links the LDCT in Dourges with the Miratrans Terminal in Krzewie. The cut-off time in Dourges is every Tuesday at 6:00 PM, and the availability in Krzewie is on Friday at 7:00 AM. In the reverse direction, the cut-off time in Krzewie is every Friday at 7:00 PM, and the availability in Dourges is every Monday at 6:00 AM.

This route connects the LDCT in Dourges with Central PL in Kutno with a stop at the DIT and consists of two segments: The first connects Dourges with Duisburg at a frequency of three round trips per week.
The second segment between the DIT and Central PL is realized by Contargo through a partner connection in the PCC network with currently up to five round trips per week.
