Aug 14, 2025 at 6:18 PMGoodyear and Schmitz Cargobull are expanding their collaboration, enabling seamless integration of Goodyear TPMS Connect for fleet customers. This will improve tire management and increase the uptime and safety of Schmitz Cargobull vehicles. Through the Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect® Data Management Center, both parties can now selectively and securely provide and retrieve order-relevant data.
(Horstmar) Vehicle fleets with Schmitz Cargobull trailers can now benefit from Goodyear’s tire monitoring and predictive analytics, as they are directly compatible with the telematics and tire pressure monitoring systems built into Schmitz Cargobull vehicles, without the need for additional hardware or SIM cards.
Goodyear TPMS Connect is a plug-and-play solution that integrates into Schmitz Cargobull’s existing telematics infrastructure, providing immediate access to real-time tire performance data and actionable insights. By utilizing Goodyear’s proprietary G-Predict technology, fleets can anticipate tire-related issues before they lead to unplanned downtime, resulting in lower operating costs and increased road safety.
“With this next step in our collaboration, we are combining the strengths of our proven trailer telematics with Goodyear’s tire intelligence solution,” says Jan Uhlenbruck, Head of Full Service Solutions, Digital Services Product Line at Schmitz Cargobull. “The seamless integration of Goodyear TPMS Connect supports our goal of providing our customers with smarter, safer, and more efficient transport solutions.”
Support for Intelligent, Connected Fleets
For Goodyear, this partnership is another important expansion of its ecosystem for fleet mobility. “We are excited to deepen our collaboration with Schmitz Cargobull by integrating Goodyear TPMS Connect directly into their trailer platform,” says Piotr Czyżyk, Managing Director, Fleet Mobility Europe at Goodyear. “Through this integration, fleets can benefit from Goodyear’s predictive analytics and tire intelligence without having to install additional hardware, paving the way for a smoother transition to digitalization and operational excellence.”
The Key Benefits of Goodyear TPMS Connect Are:
- Seamless Integration: Works with Schmitz Cargobull’s integrated telematics and TPMS systems – no additional hardware required.
- Predictive Maintenance: The G-Predict technology helps avoid tire failures by early detection of tire issues.
- Increased Safety and Compliance: Supports TPMS-related EU regulations and contributes to greater safety through predictive alerts.
- Complete Tire Transparency: Provides full data transparency, including pressure, temperature, and GPS-based tracking.
With this joint offering, fleets benefit from a fully connected trailer solution that reduces tire-related downtime and contributes to informed business decisions. In terms of transparency and connectivity, Schmitz Cargobull supports freight forwarders in their daily transport operations with the TrailerConnect® Data Management Center (DMC). To make the available real-time data even more effective, Schmitz Cargobull relies on strategic partnerships with over 40 established providers, such as Trimble, Krone, idem, RIO, ZF Transics, CO3, etc. Through the import function of the DMC, customers have the opportunity to represent their entire fleet – across manufacturers – on the TrailerConnect® platform.
Real-time Data Monitored in One Central Location
The TrailerConnect® Data Management Center is ready for connected systems without further IT implementation. The real-time data of the entire fleet is monitored and controlled in one central location. The outgoing interfaces to common real-time visibility platforms and telematics systems can be used directly. The user manages the data sharing themselves, actively deciding which data to share selectively, thus retaining control over their data. This means full protection for their own business and logistics network. Business-sensitive data regarding their transport network and the involved subcontractors are protected.
Data Processed in Compliance with GDPR
All vehicle and transport data are processed in compliance with GDPR and are accessible for the entire fleet in one place. In conjunction with the TrailerConnect® TourTrack, the user gains access to all information in real-time, can precisely overview tours, and quickly respond to changes in processes. Interactive temperature monitoring and other functions are also available on a tour and order basis (FTL/LTL).
