Thanks to closer direct connections between Europe and the USA, freight customers gain more flexibility and transport options. In recent years, Lufthansa Cargo and United Cargo have successfully provided their customers with a joint cooperation agreement that allows the two airlines to collaborate in various areas such as sales, customer contact, and networking between the United States and Europe.
(Frankfurt/Zürich) Effective August 1, 2025, Swiss WorldCargo will officially join this alliance, further strengthening the partnership. This expanded collaboration aims to provide customers with even greater value through improved connections, coordinated services, and a seamless cargo experience across the transatlantic network.
As part of the expanded joint business agreement, United Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo, and Swiss WorldCargo will work closely together in the aforementioned areas. The airlines will collaborate on cargo traffic between more than 200 destinations in the USA to Zurich and Frankfurt. The joint activities will be conducted in full compliance with all applicable laws, including the competition rules of the European Union and the United States.
