Schmitz Cargobull Launches Mobile All-Round Service On-Site
Jul 4, 2025 at 5:02 PMOn August 1, 2025, dataform dialogservices GmbH, based in Roßtal near Nuremberg, will become part of the L.I.T. Group. The acquisition is taking place as part of a preliminary insolvency process. With this acquisition, the logistics service provider expands its portfolio to include services in the areas of dialog marketing, e-commerce fulfillment, and digitally supported print and output management. The location will remain, and all 230 employees will continue to be employed.
(Brake/Rosstal) This marks an important milestone for the L.I.T. Group in strategically expanding its fulfillment and e-commerce expertise and tapping into new market potentials in dialog marketing and digital printing.
“With dataform, we are gaining a company with high professional specialization in the areas of fulfillment, digital printing and shipping processes, as well as system-integrated dialog services,” says Claas Durach, future managing director of dataform dialog solutions GmbH. The company is characterized by a technically sophisticated setup, automated processes, access to various new customer segments, and thus provides an excellent foundation to strategically strengthen the service portfolio along the entire value chain. Durach emphasizes that even during the preliminary insolvency phase, new customers and orders were acquired, underscoring dataform’s market position and performance capabilities.
Strategic Expansion in Fulfillment and Communication
dataform has a modern logistical infrastructure with around 45,000 square meters of storage and production space, automated intralogistics with 18 picking stations, approximately 30,000 pallet spaces, and 90,000 shelf storage spaces. The company offers services along the entire e-commerce value chain: from goods receipt to order processing, packaging, shipping management, and returns processing. The fulfillment offering is complemented by a wide portfolio of dialog-oriented services, such as personalized mailings, digital printing, catalog production, postage management, and hybrid shipping solutions. For business customers, dataform also handles the entire output management of invoices, order confirmations, other business documents, and customer care services.
Integration into the Group and Outlook
dataform dialog solutions GmbH will continue the previous business activities of dataform dialogservices GmbH as an operationally independent company within the L.I.T. Group. The acquisition enables the networking of existing logistics-related processes with the digital-communicative services of the new subsidiary. With this acquisition, the L.I.T. Group also strengthens its market position in Southern Germany.
Klaus Vollmer, future member of the management of dataform dialog solutions GmbH, is pleased about the new perspective within the L.I.T. Group: “Our location, our systems, and the experience of our team are a good complement to the existing structures. Together, we will bring additional services to the market as part of our new group affiliation.”
To strategically tap into the growing e-commerce market, the L.I.T. Group is also planning to establish its own company: L.I.T. eCommerce Solutions GmbH. Durach adds: “By founding our own e-commerce company, we are further expanding our existing strengths within the L.I.T. Group and creating new added value for our customers in digital commerce.”
