Waldbach Fulfillment Stores Particle Boards for Rotpunkt Kitchens

The Rotpunkt Küchen GmbH based in Bünde has now commissioned Waldbach Fulfillment to store large particle boards at the logistics center in Melle. The collaboration, which has been ongoing since 2022, has been extended for another three years.

(Melle/Bünde) The new order includes the storage of 5,000 particle boards measuring up to ten square meters, which are bundled into packages of 24 pieces each. To ensure smooth and quick processing, Waldbach invested in a front loader with a load capacity of eight tons.

“The coordination and collaboration with Waldbach Fulfillment is always absolutely straightforward and reliable,” explains Marco Hebbelmann, who is responsible for purchasing at Rotpunkt Küchen. “We particularly appreciate the flexibility and speed with which Waldbach responds to our requirements and wishes,” emphasizes Hebbelmann.

The particle boards are delivered daily to Melle and are retrieved as needed by the production logistics of the kitchen manufacturer. From Melle, they are either transported directly to Rotpunkt or to one of the contractors where the boards are cut and edged.

Work Steps Are Increasingly Outsourced to Partners

“In the furniture industry, individual work steps are increasingly being outsourced to partners. As a logistics service provider, we want to position ourselves even more strongly in this area and, for example, offer returns processing or the assembly of hinges or drawers,” plans Managing Director Björn Waldbach.
