L.I.T. Speditions GmbH Acquires Parts of van Eupen
May 15, 2025 at 4:13 PMEUROGATE Intermodal GmbH (EGIM), a provider of intermodal transport solutions for sea containers based in Hamburg, has announced the acquisition of the Deisser Group in Stuttgart today. With the signing of the contract on May 12, 2025, the acquisition is retroactively effective from January 1, 2025. The Deisser Group is the market and quality leader for container transport by truck on the first and last mile in the middle Neckar region.
(Hamburg/Stuttgart) With this step, EUROGATE Intermodal is strategically strengthening its position in combined transport by rail and road. At the same time, the company ensures planning reliability and quality on the first and last mile even under volatile market conditions through the use of its own assets. The Deisser Group complements EGIM with decades of experience, high service quality, and a modern, sustainably oriented truck fleet – thus creating ideal conditions for further joint growth and a powerful, future-oriented transport chain.
For the Deisser Group, the acquisition marks a stable and long-term succession solution. Company founder Eugen Deisser deliberately sought a strategic partner as part of the company succession, who not only promotes the further development of the company in line with its values but also ensures continuity for employees, customers, and partners. The Deisser Group will remain an independent company. It will continue to operate under its established name and as a neutral service provider. Eugen Deisser will continue to serve as managing director and will actively accompany the handover process.
The entire workforce will be taken over. All existing contracts will remain fully valid. Furthermore, EGIM places great importance on seamlessly and trustfully continuing the long-standing customer relationships of the Deisser Group.
Eugen Deisser, managing director of the Deisser Group, explains: “25 years ago, I founded the Deisser Group – EGIM was one of our first customers. Today, the circle is closing. I am pleased to hand over the company into trustworthy hands and to personally shape the next steps.”
