Apr 13, 2025 at 6:18 PMHellmann Worldwide Logistics is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its branch in Bielefeld. On the occasion of the “Logistics Day,” the company opened its doors on April 10 at Friedrich Hagemann Street for customers and interested parties to provide insight into the operations of the location.
(Osnabrück/Bielefeld) The history of Hellmann in Bielefeld began in 1950 with the opening of a small dispatch and sales office. Since then, the branch has continuously developed and is now one of the leading logistics service providers in East Westphalia. Since 2018, the logistics provider has operated its own state-of-the-art digitally equipped road facility and serves a variety of customer segments in Bielefeld and the surrounding area, including industry, trade, and automotive. With the growing product portfolio, the number of employees has steadily increased to over 150 today.
The East Westphalia region is one of the economically strongest in North Rhine-Westphalia and is among the leading industrial locations in Germany. With its strong medium-sized economy, numerous global market leaders, and high innovative strength, the region offers great growth potential for Hellmann as a global logistics provider. At the same time, Bielefeld is located on important transport axes with the A 2 and A 33, thus serving as a logistical interface in NRW, making the location a strategically important hub.
Sven Eisfeld, Managing Director Germany, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics comments: “The growth of our Bielefeld branch over the past 75 years clearly shows that our sustainable commitment to the region pays off. A big thank you goes to our colleagues who make Hellmann what it is every day: an agile family business with a shared global vision: For the better. Together.”
Continuing the success story in East Westphalia
Burghard Blüggel, Branch Manager Bielefeld, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics adds: “We are particularly pleased that so many customers have followed our invitation. Together, we want to continue to grow in the coming years based on our good relationships and our know-how. We look forward to continuing our success story as a leading logistics service provider in East Westphalia together.”
