SOTI Releases Study on Digital Innovations in Logistics
Apr 8, 2025 at 6:44 PMThe Logistics Day thrives on the commitment of numerous companies that provide free insights into their services and tasks on this day. Interested parties can choose from around 100 events. Amazon is also among the supporters of Logistics Day and will again be a premium partner in 2025. In this context, the online retailer has been committed to the action day since 2022 and contributes to the promotion of the economic sector beyond that.
(Bremen/Unna/Schönefeld) When Germany’s third-largest economic sector opens its doors on April 10, 2025 – the “Logistics Day” – interested parties can once again experience live the significance of logistics for a functioning everyday life. Around 100 events, from company tours to webinars to a logistics escape room, are already being offered. The partner companies of the Europe-wide action day are also committed, in addition to financial support, to making logistics more visible to the public and promoting understanding of its diverse tasks and opportunities. Thus, the companies engage both for the action day and for the entire economic sector. They benefit from comprehensive presence in the audience channels of Logistics Day, the opportunity for active participation, and support in event promotion – optionally complemented by additional, individual communication advantages.
Online retailer engages again
Amazon is the premium partner of the action day for the fourth consecutive time; the company has been participating in the Logistics Day program with events since 2010. This year, Amazon will also open the doors of various locations and provide exciting insights into numerous logistics, sorting, and distribution centers. Interested parties will have the opportunity to experience the diversity of logistics professions up close and learn about attractive entry-level opportunities and further education offers.
“The logistics industry is a driver of innovation with great future potential, where people and technology work perfectly together. At Amazon, we experience this every day – from storing goods with intelligent robotic systems to efficiently transporting packages to their destinations and optimizing delivery on the last mile. We are pleased to be partners of Logistics Day again this year. With nationwide actions, we want to show the fascinating perspectives that the combination of cutting-edge technology and hands-on mentality offers, especially for career starters,” says Markus Meel, Regional Director Amazon Transportation Service in the German Amazon logistics network.
The partner program supports Logistics Day as a non-profit action. Companies can register for free as organizers on www.tag-der-logistik.de and publish their events. Initiatives and associations that wish to support the action day with their network can engage as ideal partners. In accordance with the non-profit framework, participation in the events is also kept free of charge. Organizers have freedom in further design.
Press conference for Logistics Day
On the eve of Logistics Day, an online press conference will also take place. The expert talk will address the stability of supply chains and their key role in supplying the economy and society – including strategic approaches to increasing resilience. For the first time, the results of a survey on the supply chain strategy of German companies conducted by the ifo Institute on behalf of the EU Commission in March 2025 will be presented in a public forum. They show how these companies are responding to changes in supply chains. Assessments of the current development of the economic sector from the latest meeting of the “Logistics Council,” a high-profile panel of logistics experts, will also be included in the discussion.
Career orientation day of the initiative “Die Wirtschaftsmacher”
Even after Logistics Day, interested parties can learn about various professions in the economic sector: From June 2 to 5, 2025, the transport logistic in Munich, the world’s leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management, will provide a comprehensive platform for professionals from around the world. As part of the career day of transport logistic on June 5, the initiative “Die Wirtschaftsmacher” – an ideal partner of Logistics Day – will hold a career orientation day in cooperation with Messe München. The “FireCamp” offers young people practical insights into the diverse career opportunities in the logistics industry and gives them the chance to engage directly with company representatives.
