Apr 1, 2025 at 5:51 PMThe wheels are rolling again! On April 1st, the fourth season of GWcycles, the international cycling initiative by Gebrüder Weiss, begins. Under the motto Cycling for the Seas, cycling enthusiasts worldwide are invited to pedal together until October 31st. The focus is on the joy of movement. This year, it lasts even a month longer.
(Lauterach) With this initiative, the company aims to connect people around the globe and raise awareness for sustainable mobility. Last year, participants worldwide covered over 810,000 kilometers – a distance as far as to the moon and back.
For the first time, the initiative will run a month longer – until October 31st. Additionally, the distances in the individual competition have been shortened to make it easier to earn attractive prizes. The kilometers will be tracked via the new version of the Radbonus-App, which is now available for free in the App Store. A special highlight of the new season: For every 100,000 kilometers cycled together, one ton of plastic waste will be removed from rivers and coastal areas in Southeast Asia through the new partner CleanHub. The organization actively works to reduce plastic pollution in particularly vulnerable regions.

All cyclists are welcome
Whether recreational cyclist or long-distance pro – everyone is welcome at GWcycles. In addition to the good feeling of doing something meaningful, attractive prizes await: Among the 300 most active participants, a high-quality gravel bike will be raffled off. The leader of the ranking will also receive an exclusive Gebrüder Weiss winner jersey.
