(Aarau) The ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Swisslog headquarters on Weihermattstrasse in Aarau has been set. From October 2026, around 320 employees will move into the modern office building. The new construction project is being implemented by Kowe Immobilien AG, owned by the Ammann family from Aarau. Swisslog will occupy the building as a tenant, marking an important step in the company’s further development.
“This new building is a significant milestone for both companies. It not only ensures a modern working environment for Swisslog but also makes an important contribution to the development of the Telli district,” said Hanspeter Hilfiker, Mayor of Aarau. “We are pleased that Swisslog, as a significant player, is moving into Telli and thus contributing to the positive development of the entire area.”
“Our employees can look forward to an attractive location in Aarau. The move will not only create a new, modern working environment but will also help us to be even more firmly rooted in the region as an employer,” says Jens Schmale, CEO of Swisslog. “Aarau offers us the best conditions as a location to further expand our position as a leading company in the logistics industry.”
The groundbreaking is particularly significant as it coincides with Swisslog’s 125th anniversary. “It is a special moment to emphasize our growth and our focus on the future with a new headquarters—especially in our anniversary year,” adds Schmale.
Completion Expected by Autumn 2026
“We are proud to be able to realize this customized new construction project in close collaboration with Swisslog and the city of Aarau, and we thank all those involved for the excellent cooperation,” explains Oliver Ammann from Kowe Immobilien AG. The new building is expected to be completed by autumn 2026 and represents another milestone in the successful history of Swisslog.
