UTA Edenred and Daimler Truck Continue Partnership
Jan 23, 2025 at 7:53 PMThe new focus group “Trends and Innovations in Logistics Real Estate” (TuI) of the Logistics Real Estate Working Group of BVL e.V. is starting its work. Originating from the “Expert Group Logistics Real Estate at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences” and the Logistics Real Estate Working Group of the Federal Association of Logistics e.V., the TuI focus group is led by an experienced dual leadership: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Armin Bohnhoff, Professor of Logistics and Real Estate Management at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, and Peter Salostowitz, Managing Partner of IndustrialPort GmbH & Co., who previously led the Darmstadt expert group.
(Bremen/Darmstadt) In the TuI focus group, innovations will now be examined and categorized across disciplines in relation to logistics real estate. “Digitalization, ESG compliance, e-mobility – innovative technologies and solutions are needed to advance these topics. Therefore, it is important to provide a classification of what will advance the logistics real estate industry and what is ultimately just ‘nice-to-have’. This is what we want to develop with our new focus group,” says Kuno Neumeier, spokesperson for the BVL Logistics Real Estate Working Group and CEO of the Logivest Group.
“The logistics real estate sector must also respond to changing market demands with innovative solutions and concepts. This raises the question of which developments are future-proof and which are merely due to a general hype,” adds Prof. Dr.-Ing. Armin Bohnhoff.
Based on this, the new focus group has set clear goals for 2025:
- To discuss trends in logistics and assess their impact on logistics real estate
- To evaluate developments in the logistics real estate industry and their influence on the future of logistics real estate
- To discuss and describe the future of logistics real estate
First Meeting in Early April
The first meeting of the TuI focus group in 2025 will take place on April 1 at the headquarters of Engelbert Strauss in Biebergemünd in the Spessart region. “Do brownfield projects limit innovations due to their existing structures and technologies?” is the central theme of the day.
