Clark Expands Its Electric Forklift Fleet

Clark has expanded its S-Series Electric with new three- and four-wheel forklifts. The new STE and SE series, with a load capacity of 1.6 to 2 tons and a maximum lift height of up to 7075 mm, replaces the GTX and GEX series in the 48-volt segment. Like the S-Series Electric (SE25-35) with 80 volts and load capacities of 2.5 to 3.5 tons, the new three-wheel and four-wheel forklifts also stand out with the attributes Smart, Strong, and Safe.

(Duisburg) The electric forklifts STE16/18/20 and SE16/20 offer the perfect combination of safety and high throughput. Due to their compact design and impressive maneuverability, the electric forklifts are the ideal solution for indoor and outdoor use in industry and trade. The four-wheel forklifts, with a steering angle of 101° (Zero Steer Turn Axle), particularly demonstrate their capabilities in narrow aisles or space-critical work areas, as they can almost turn on the spot. All models of the new series are designed to ensure smooth internal logistics with maximum availability and efficiency, all while being completely emission-free.

Flexible Battery Solution and Maximum Performance

Operators benefit from extremely short charging times and maximum productivity with the new vehicles equipped with lithium-ion batteries (460 Ah and optionally 280 Ah), as the maintenance-free Li-Ion technology extends battery life, reduces operating costs, and enables flexible multi-shift operation thanks to intermediate and fast charging capabilities. As with the S-Series Electric, operators also have the option to change the vehicle’s power source and adjust the software accordingly with minimal additional effort when operational requirements change. The forklifts can be operated with the classic lead-acid battery with a maximum of 625 Ah and can be switched back to the high-performance Clark lithium-ion battery as needed. With this smart battery solution, the electric forklifts can be adapted to almost any application scenario.

The advanced 5-inch color display with integrated rearview camera, active safety systems, and extensive additional equipment not only ensure a high level of safety but also maximum efficiency in operation. A particular highlight includes the nested mast profiles for excellent mast visibility, the service-friendly and robust design, intuitive direction change integrated into the hydraulic or mini-levers, and the electric parking brake, which prevents unintentional acceleration or rollback of the vehicle. The modern and well-thought-out vehicle concept is rounded off by an ergonomic workplace that offers numerous storage options for documents, drinks, and mobile phones.

Electric Power for High Throughput

Two drive motors in parallel front drive with 4.4 kW power each and 48-volt three-phase technology ensure rapid acceleration and driving speeds of up to 16 km/h. For energy-efficient use of the forklift, three driving modes are available, which can be individually programmed. Also adjustable as needed are the wear-free regenerative braking with the motor brake and the automatic reduction of speed when cornering.
