Dec 3, 2024 at 7:27 PMThe expansion of TOPREGAL’s warehouse and production facility in the Berlin-Stettin industrial park in Pasewalk is steadily progressing: Just three years after settling in the industrial park and completing the first four halls, the medium-sized company for storage and operational equipment celebrated a topping-out ceremony for two new halls on December 3, 2024.
(Filderstadt/Pasewalk) In a festive setting, numerous invited guests – including the Minister-President of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Manuela Schwesig, the designated Minister for Economy, Infrastructure, Tourism, and Labor of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Wolfgang Blank, the Parliamentary State Secretary for Vorpommern and Eastern Mecklenburg, Heiko Miraß, the Head of Department in the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Tourism, and Labor of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Ralf Sippel, the District Administrator of Vorpommern-Greifswald, Michael Sack, and the Mayor of Pasewalk, Danny Rodewald – informed themselves about the Pasewalk industrial area. After a welcome by Jürgen Effner and Gino Klatt, managing directors of TOPREGAL GmbH, the traditional topping-out speech was given by Jörg Heuer, head of the Goldbeck office in Schwerin. Subsequently, Manuela Schwesig delivered a speech. “TOPREGAL has brought life to the Berlin-Stettin industrial park with the first four halls. That was in 2021. Now two more halls are being added. At least 20 new jobs are expected to be created as a result. I am very pleased that TOPREGAL has been so well received in Pasewalk. The industrial park is a good example of what the state government aims to achieve with its industrial concept for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: More industry. More value creation. More jobs,” said the Minister-President.
“After the completion of our first four halls with over 20,000 square meters of space, it quickly became clear that we wanted to further expand our Pasewalk location. Therefore, these two new halls, each with 5,000 square meters of space, are currently being built on an adjacent area. This allows us to meet the high demand for our SoloPort brand products and create additional jobs. In the future, innovations such as solar parking canopies will be manufactured, stored, and shipped here,” reports Jürgen Effner.
Ready for occupancy in the second half of 2025
For the construction of the two new halls, TOPREGAL is relying on the company Goldbeck, just like for the first four. Both halls will feature modern 550-kWp photovoltaic systems on the roof. In total, the six halls will generate 3.4 megawatts peak power upon completion. A portion of the generated energy will be used for in-house consumption, flowing directly into production. However, the largest share will be fed into the grid to supply the region. “Our production and storage location in the Berlin-Stettin industrial park in Pasewalk thus encompasses a total of 82,000 square meters. The two halls are expected to be ready for occupancy in the second half of 2025,” concludes Effner.
