The Swiss Commercial Vehicle Association ASTAG Assists Members in Decarbonization
Dec 1, 2024 at 10:51 AMSince 2016, the logistics cooperative LogCoop has been operating the largest storage network in Germany, the DACH region, as well as in BeNeLux, Eastern Europe, the UK, and Spain. With over 130 locations and more than 3 million square meters of managed storage space, LogCoop sets standards in the logistics industry.
(Düsseldorf) As a merger of medium-sized logistics companies, the cooperative combines years of experience with innovative networking and offers shippers from industry and trade, as well as logistics consultants, flexible and efficient solutions. What makes LogCoop special is the focus on the internal networking of its members. “In addition to external inquiries, we support our over 130 members in handling internal requests when they have no capacity themselves,” explains Thomas Elkenhans, a member of the management team. “Rejections to customers should be avoided – instead, we offer suitable alternatives within the network. This way, customer relationships are maintained, and members benefit from a strong community.”
Cooperation Instead of Competition
An example of the effectiveness of this approach is an e-commerce company that urgently needed additional storage and fulfillment capacities during the Corona pandemic. Thanks to LogCoop, a member from the Cologne area was able to not only win this customer but also set up four additional external warehouses through collaboration with other network partners. The facilitated sales volume amounted to an impressive 3 million euros. “In the last three years, over 40 members have conducted business together within the network, with a transaction volume in the high seven-digit range,” adds Marc Possekel, managing partner of LogCoop.
Growth in Challenging Times
Despite the economic challenges of 2024, LogCoop is experiencing impressive growth of around 10%. Through events such as general meetings, working groups, and trade fair appearances, the cooperative promotes the exchange and collaboration of its members. In particular, the storage network offers new perspectives for companies seeking partnership solutions through available capacities.
