CTP leases logistics property in Oschersleben to WP Holding
Nov 12, 2024 at 6:00 PMThe Swiss family-owned company Planzer strengthens its presence in Italy by acquiring the traditional logistics company Sifte Berti, which has been successfully established in the market for over 55 years, at the end of October 2024. The founding family Berti, represented by Signore Franco Berti (80) and his daughter Francesca Berti, hands over their life’s work as a desired succession solution to Planzer.
(Dietikon/Milan) Planzer continues its history in Italy, which began in 1989 with the founding of Planzer Trasporti S.r.l. and the first location in Montano Lucino (Como). In 2001, the company acquired the neighboring company Como Docks, followed by the acquisition of Aletti in 2007, Lario Express Spedizioni Internazionali S.r.l. in 2014, and the customs agent Tirsped in Montano Lucino in 2022.
By taking over all employees, vehicles, and three of the seven locations (Milan, Vercelli & Rome), which are owned by Sifte Berti, Planzer expands its existing network and service portfolio in Italy.
Name and Employees Remain
Nils Planzer, CEO of Planzer, states: “It is an honor for us to continue the legacy of the Berti family under the same name and with all employees. This acquisition gives us the opportunity to strengthen our network and expand our services in Italy to offer our customers even more comprehensive solutions.” For customers, the previous contacts will remain in place to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of business relationships. The purchase price has been kept confidential.
