Alnatura commissions Spetra for distribution in East Germany

The organic food retailer Alnatura has commissioned Spetra Spedition & Logistik GmbH, which belongs to the Würfel Holding, to supply all Alnatura stores in Berlin, Potsdam, Leipzig, Dresden, and Erfurt with beverages as well as fresh and dry goods. For this purpose, Spetra has set up its own office in the central warehouse of Alnatura located in Altlandsberg, east of Berlin.

(Berlin) From this office in Altlandsberg, the eight distribution vehicles are managed, which operate on 10 to 11 routes daily for Alnatura. As part of the indefinite contract, Spetra has created four new jobs. “We are proud that we were able to convince Alnatura of our services and look forward to a trusting collaboration,” explains authorized signatory Jörg Guttermann, who, together with Michael Siedler, is responsible for the project on behalf of Spetra. One of the particular challenges of the project was the tight time frame for delivering to the stores, which was managed through a well-thought-out route planning.

Customer-oriented and flexible logistics service provider

“We are glad to have Spetra as a customer-oriented and flexible logistics service provider by our side, reliably supplying our stores in Berlin, Potsdam, Leipzig, Dresden, and Erfurt,” emphasizes Johann Risto, who is responsible for the Transport Disposition & LHM Management team at Alnatura.

Alnatura was founded in 1984 by Götz Rehn, who is still active in management today. Currently, there are 153 Alnatura Super Natur Markets in 74 cities across 14 federal states. Under the Alnatura brand, over 1,300 different organic food products are produced. These are sold in Alnatura’s own organic markets and across Europe in 15 countries in around 13,700 stores of various trading partners. Alnatura employs around 3,500 employees, including 120 trainees. In the 2022/2023 financial year, Alnatura generated a net revenue of 1.149 billion euros.

Specialized in refrigerated logistics in the food trade

Spetra Spedition & Logistik GmbH Berlin, based in Großbeeren, is a logistics service provider specializing in refrigerated logistics. The own fleet consists of around 100 vehicles, primarily used for various clients in the food trade.
